Aerial photography offers a breathtaking perspective, but it also presents unique challenges, as every image is captured under different conditions. Atmospheric haze and colour imbalances are two of the most common issues, often softening the image and dulling the true beauty of the scene. Editing is a challenge that constantly requires refinement and development. I claim to be no expert in post-processing images, but I enjoy the effort needed to achieve the best possible result.
The two examples below provide a glimpse of how a raw, unedited photograph looks straight from the camera. However, the real work begins behind the computer, where careful editing is required to recover the image and present it at its best.
Most photos will have been captured using a Canon 5D Mk4 camera paired with a 24-105mm F/4 lens.
